The goal is for governments to make optimal use of available funding and grant opportunities to achieve their ambitions and objectives. But what exactly is a financing strategy, and what are the real needs in practice? How can we help governments move boldly forward in the long term?

A financing strategy is an approach that structurally links the ambitions of an organization or region to relevant funding and grant opportunities in the short, medium, and long term. During your graduation project, you will work on further developing and exploring the components that a financing strategy should include. You will also collect data and engage with various governments to map out their needs. In summary, your assignment consists of the following components:

• Formulate a theoretical framework around the concept of a financing strategy.
• Develop interview questions and conduct interviews to collect data from various governments.
• Create an approach for the financing strategy:
  • Define the components that a financing strategy should include.
  • Outline the process steps for implementing a financing strategy.
  • Define success indicators: How do you measure the success of a financing strategy

• Final-year public administration student.
• Affinity for financial issues and strategy development.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Capable of working independently and taking initiative.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
